Privacy

Last updated 10 September 2026. This notice covers quipship.net only. Each application QuipShip publishes has its own privacy notice on its own site or store listing.

The short version

1. Controller

QuipShip Software
Breitenfurter Straße 376
1230 Wien, Austria
hello@quipship.net

2. What happens when you visit

When you open a page, your browser sends the usual technical data to the server that delivers it: your IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser type and the referring page. This is needed to deliver the site and to keep it secure. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.

Hosting is provided by Railway Corp., 548 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. Server logs are held by Railway for a short period for operational and security purposes. Where data is processed in the United States, the transfer rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses that Railway has signed as part of its data processing agreement.

3. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. If you use the footer link to switch between the two looks of the site, your browser stores a single value (quipship-look) in its local storage so it can show you the same look next time. This value stays on your device, contains nothing personal and is never transmitted. You can remove it by clearing your browser's site data for quipship.net.

4. Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count visits and see which parts of the page are used. Umami sets no cookies and stores no identifier on your device. It records the page, the referring site, the browser type, the screen size and an approximate country derived from the IP address, which is discarded and never stored; visits cannot be recognised across sessions or linked to a person. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works for its visitors. Any content blocker prevents this processing, and the site works fully without it.

We may in future use PostHog (PostHog Inc.) on its servers in the European Union, configured the same way: memory-only, no cookie, no cross-session identifier. This notice will name it explicitly when that happens.

5. Email updates

If you enter your email address in the "Follow along" form, we use it to send you news about QuipShip applications, a few times a year. Legal basis: your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every message or by writing to us; withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened. The list is managed with Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France), which processes the address on our behalf on servers in the European Union. We keep your address until you unsubscribe.

6. Contact

If you write to us by email, we keep the message as long as needed to deal with it and for any follow-up. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the message concerns a contract, otherwise Article 6(1)(f), our interest in answering you.

7. Links to other sites

The application tiles and the social links lead to other websites and platforms (including the sites of the individual applications, Instagram and Facebook). Those operators are responsible for their own data processing; their notices apply as soon as you follow a link.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@quipship.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Wien, dsb.gv.at.

9. Changes

We update this notice when the site changes. The date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
